TREAT - Treatment Methodologies (Lead: Centre for Interdisciplinary Addiction Research,University of Hamburg (ZIS) Germany)

With TREAT the implementation of effective treatment methodologies for drug addicts will be ensured. Key measures are:

• Develop and pilot modern treatment methodologies in community settings and prisons through training, workshops and conferences
• Study visits for experts from the five partner countries in order to familiarise these with  modern treatment measures for drug addicts in the European Union
• Introduction of evaluation systems and methods to measure the effectiveness of treatment methodologies
• Raising of awareness and commitment to sustainability measures to maintain and expand treatment for drug users 

Expected Results

State-of-the-art treatment methods of drug addiction have been introduced through pilot projects in all five CA countries within as well as out of prisons in accordance with national legislation and policy
